‘ The quality of mercy is not strain’d

It droppeth as the gentle rain from the heavens”- W. Shakespeare

Spring is on its way, the rain is clearing up, it is preparing the ground for the flowers of spring. Here’s the last few drops clinging to the tree branches, which are just beginning to bud. Yesterday I saw a flowering tree barely starting to blossom forth with pink blossoms, Today I saw my first stand of daffodils and snowdrops.
Here’s a few photos of those last gentle raindrops.

  1. Wonderful images these will be to inspire some more of your fabulous fabric art creations! Wonderful, also, to hear about the different stages of early spring in different parts of the country. Here, in NW AL, with an unnaturally warm winter, we had daffodils fully in bloom in mid-January!
