I vacillate between ” This is too insanely wild” and “Oh I’m just having a little fun”. I ask myself “If I ever finished it, would I have the nerve to put it in my shop?” I haven’t got a clue, but in the meantime, I still just having fun.

“Rain Forest Canopy” a new abstract art quilt
The hand painted silk had such beautiful colors, flowing teal, green and blue with the sharp contract of a bright punch of red. I enjoyed the thread painting on this, finding the right balance to work with the design, not obscure it.
As I worked on it I pictured in my mind the canopy at the top of a rain forest.

Impressionist art quilt
What I liked about this fabric was it’s impressionist style, the way it resembled a watercolor. I wanted keep focus on the painting itself, no fussiness to detract or obscure. . So, to preserve that element, I came up with my plan of action. Don’t cover the fabric by too much fussing. Easy on the thread painting and quilting.
“Wonderland Revisited”, “Well I had fun”.
Here’s the latest art quilt I’ve been working on, like a busy little bee. love the wild abandon , the bold color. I gave myself permission go with my inclinations. It was made with the intention of a companion piece that harmonized with my last abstract quilt, “Down the Rabbit Hole”.

Impressionist Art Quilt; Impression Sunrise In theThe Garden
This impressionistic style reminds me of a painting. When the sunrise streaking the sky purple & pink .The light falls on the garden, filling it with color and light much as the silk used reflects color luminously I like to have my first cup of coffee in the garden, admiring the
