MQX West my experiences there, WOW

As many people around the Portland area are aware, the MQX West show opened this week. It was everything I had hoped for and then some. I am sharing my impressions and photos of some of my favorite quilts. Two installments to cover it all.

“Wonderland Revisited”, “Well I had fun”.

Here’s the latest art quilt I’ve been working on, like a busy little bee. love the wild abandon , the bold color. I gave myself permission go with my inclinations. It was made with the intention of a companion piece that harmonized with my last abstract quilt, “Down the Rabbit Hole”.

Is this a blog about art quilts or photopraphy?

As you may have knticed I have a lot of photos included in my art quilt blog pages, this is ovbously because I enjoy photographty and I enjoy making art quilts as well. I am sure you are all aware that I will soom be opening my my art web site. I’ll give more details later.

I plan on keeping my etsy shop open to carry all sorts of non art items

It’s cold wet and froze. Need a little boost to get us through to spring?

As I sit here at the computer I can hear the sound of rain pounding my patio. The window shows a dark and gloomy sky. I don’t know about you, but I could use a little preview of spring right now… the sun’s rays, blue sky and spring’s offerings for this year.
