Sharing a few more as promised.

A new new art quilt and a silk painting from fiber artist Barbara Harms. Natural themes, a beautiful red egret stand at the water’s edge. The turquoise water sparkles and glimmers as the light of late afternoon is reflects from the water. The other is a impressionist style silk painting of a soft dreamy garden.

Do You Dream In Color?

I vacillate between ” This is too insanely wild” and “Oh I’m just having a little fun”. I ask myself “If I ever finished it, would I have the nerve to put it in my shop?” I haven’t got a clue, but in the meantime, I still just having fun.

The Race Is On or Would You Care For a poppy?

Pleas allow me to make excuses I have to admit it, lately I’ve been a little neglectful of my blog, posts have been a little sparse. The problem is, I’m running around in circles, like a dog chasing his tale. Recently I received a copy of the final edit from the editor of Art QuiltingContinue reading “The Race Is On or Would You Care For a poppy?”

Two Daisies, I’m Just Having Some Fun

Here is my latest quilt, just finished and posted on Etsy. I know you’ve seen it, a few peeks here and there. I hand painted the silk then added a bit of applique. and then the thread painting commenced. As I mentioned somewhere [was it here? Cherry Blossoms time, the theme of my new art quilt

“Wonderland Revisited”, “Well I had fun”.

Here’s the latest art quilt I’ve been working on, like a busy little bee. love the wild abandon , the bold color. I gave myself permission go with my inclinations. It was made with the intention of a companion piece that harmonized with my last abstract quilt, “Down the Rabbit Hole”.
