Am I addicted to stress, 3 at once?
I’ve started work on 3 quilts, don’t ask me why. I usually take em one at a time.The silk background is completed and the silk art painting finished. I’ve just begun the thread work, which is now where near finished as you see. I’ll post updated pictures along the wayI added lots of pearl to my paint colors as I mixed them. So to continue the sparkle, shine theme I’m using quite a lot of metallic threads for the thread work.

Impressionist art quilt
What I liked about this fabric was it’s impressionist style, the way it resembled a watercolor. I wanted keep focus on the painting itself, no fussiness to detract or obscure. . So, to preserve that element, I came up with my plan of action. Don’t cover the fabric by too much fussing. Easy on the thread painting and quilting.

I’ve just recently received a book from the talented UK fiber artist Marion Marnett. Marion has written about a product named Lutradur. As far as I can determine, it seems to be relatively unknown here in the states, certainly used infrequently. .Marion has provided information about what it is,it’s properties & application. I’m curious to learn more, perhaps you will be too.
