This is a time lapse of photos, following this piece of fiber art as it takes shape and become a real piece of art. A few photos along the way, it is a mixed media work, so I used some non quilty methods.

On being photogenic and other things. Is this what I really look like?
Quilts can be like people, Sometimes quilts just don’t photograph well. Me either, take 100 photos, you won’t get a good one I guarantee. I’m beginning to wonder is this what I really look like?
Cherry Blossoms, It’s Raining Pink!
“It’s Raining Pink”. This art quilt is from the perspective of looking up the trunk of an old twisted cherry tree. It carries the scars gained from many years. As you look up you see a cloud of pink above. Your eyes follow the slow drift of a pink petal as it finally reaches the ground below your feet, that is covered with pink. Is it raining pink?
Cherry Blossoms time, the theme of my new art quilt
I love cherry trees, it’s breath taking to see each new tree as it is in full bloom. I love the romance of the pink “snow” which covers the ground after the blossoms fall. Whoa Nelly and Alphonse Mucha
I must apologize for an attempt last night [a really, really late night attempt] to post these two quilts. Somehow I posted a rejected draft, which was jumbled, incoherent, misspelled and unintelligible. To answer your obvious question, No, I had not been drinking heavily at the time nor was I having a psychotic break withContinue reading “Whoa Nelly and Alphonse Mucha”
Am I addicted to stress, 3 at once?
I’ve started work on 3 quilts, don’t ask me why. I usually take em one at a time. The silk background is completed and the silk art painting finished. I’ve just begun the thread work, which is now where near finished as you see. I’ll post updated pictures along the wayI added lots of pearl to my paint colors as I mixed them. So to continue the sparkle, shine theme I’m using quite a lot of metallic threads for the thread work.

Lunar Eclipse Art Quilt
