So yet My Typical Approach To Creating My Silk Painted Art Quilts
We can see things around us without really seeing them and miss opportunities for creativity. We need to learn really see and consider new perspectives.
Been busy last few months. Now I’ve caught my breath, I’ve started a new art quilt. This one is an abstract.
A new new art quilt and a silk painting from fiber artist Barbara Harms. Natural themes, a beautiful red egret stand at the water’s edge. The turquoise water sparkles and glimmers as the light of late afternoon is reflects from the water. The other is a impressionist style silk painting of a soft dreamy garden.
I had a nice experience that I thought I’d share. The state of Oregon purchased four of my art quilts. You may wonder why would a state need art quilts? I’ve finished ! “Seuss Over Youse” is all done. It was loads of fun, I will miss thing two and thing oneT
Enough of this sillyness, I’ve run out of material anyway. But you have to admit I made the effort!
I love cherry trees, it’s breath taking to see each new tree as it is in full bloom. I love the romance of the pink “snow” which covers the ground after the blossoms fall. I love that glorious spectacle that occurs every year. The fact that it lasts for only a brief time, makes theContinue reading “Cherry Blossoms time, the theme of my new art quilt”
